It’s the highlight of the London clubbing calendar, embracing trance, techno, deep house and dance music with headlining acts such as Fatboy Slim, Sasha, Carl Cox and Paul Van Dyk to name a few. South West Four rocked as the two-day music fest on Clapham Common, one of London’s best party destinations just south of the river. Accompanied by the scorching weather, this year the likes of Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed, Ferry Corsten, Disciples and Markus Schulz were performing, not to mention a whole raft of top international DJs.
The atmosphere was electric with party people having the time of their lives and yet chilled with some just soaking up the sun, laying about on the grass and easing out. Spread across various stages and tents, brands such as Amnesia Ibiza and Ministry of Sound played host to different line-ups with “feast for the eyes” light and laser shows that tranced you out literally. And with every conceivable cuisine on offer and pop-up bars, there was no way you were going to go home thirsty!
As the sun set over the Common, with the music in the background, it was truly enchanting. Once the party ends here it always starts somewhere else – this is London after all.
